2015 Film: My Top 5 Favorites

As 2015 comes to a close, it’s time to make known my decisions for the best my favorite films of the past year. I have loved doing this blog the past few months. I know limited people read it but it’s just something I can pick up when I feel stressed by other things and just write about something I love; film. And that’s what tonight’s list represents. It represents a year of some amazing films. So let’s take a look at my top 5.

5. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

I’ll be honest. I did not see the last MI movie because it seemed like it would be horrible. Apparently I was wrong and so I made a point to go see this one. It was a fun movie and reminded me of a bigger version of all the other MI movies.

4. Bridge of Spies

I thought Bridge of Spies was excellent and it really grabbed at my heartstrings. It shows that there are two sides to every story and that everyone deserves representation under the law of the US.

3. Ex Machina

This movie was weird but awesome. So mysterious. The cast consists of basically 3 people and thrills to the end. This movie also contains one of my favorite lines from a movie this year, spoken by Oscar Isaac: “I’m gonna tear up the f—cking dance floor, dude. Check it out.” Watch it below (beware, language).

2. Kingsman: The Secret Service

I totally forgot about this movie!! Before seeing this film I had not read the graphic novel or even heard of it for that matter. But this movie grabbed me. It was witty, cool, exciting, and most of all, entertaining. This is the only film I saw more than once this year not named…

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens

You can’t be that surprised I picked this one? After 5 viewings and countless hours of speculation it has become one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Maybe top 3. Time will help me figure that out. If you haven’t seen this movie then you need to get your life together.
